9. startup.txt scripting

QwIRC will execute all commands contained in startup.txt upon connection (or reconnection) to an IRC server. especially useful on DALnet to execute /nickserv identify or /watch +user commands. only commands directly supported by either QwIRC or by the server to which you are connected are allowed.

note - this admittedly is an extremely crude and limited scripting method. this method will be completely replaced in future versions by a full featured scripting language complete with event triggers for all major events, branching, looping, variable and expression evaluation, etc.
